Vision of Maths Department
-> To achieve high standards of excellence in generating and propagating knowledge in Mathematics. Department is committed in providing an education that combines rigorous academics with joy of discovery.
-> To provide an environment where students can learn, become competent users of mathematics, and understand the use of mathematics in other disciplines.
Mission of Maths Department
- To provide excellent knowledge of Mathematical sciences for suitable career and groom them for national recognition.
- Moreover, the department will contribute to the development of students as mathematical thinkers, enabling them to become lifelong learners, to continue to grow in their chosen professions, and to function as productive citizens.
Vision and Mission of Statistics
- The mission of the statistics is to provide excellent training in scientific data collection, data management, methods and procedures of data analysis.
- The philosophy is to concentrate learning and training activities on the art of probabilistic reasoning, i.e., the logic and principles that should guide rational decision making under conditions of limited information and uncertainty. This philosophy equips our students with skills that all employers consider desirable.

Objectives of Department
- To enhance students knowledge and insight in Mathematics so that they can able to work as mathematical professionals.
- To prepare them to pursue higher studies and conduct research.
- To train students to deal with the problems faced by industry through knowledge of mathematics and scientific computational techniques.
- To provide students with knowledge and capability in formulating and analysis of mathematical models in real life applications.
- To introduce the fundamentals of mathematics to students and strengthen the student’s logical and analytical ability.
- To provide a holistic approach in learning through well designed courses involving fundamental concepts and state-of –the –art techniques in the respective fields.
Activities of Department
- We are regularly conducting guest lectures by eminent personalities on importance and role of mathematics in modern society.
- Regularly we are organising awareness programmes to secure good ranks in IIT-JAM,CSIR, NET/SET, NIT’s, IIIT’s & GATE.
Placements
- The students from Mathematics & Statistics department are in high demand for various software and hardware sectors. From past 6 years most of the students are placed Inhibitor Wipro, Infosys, TCS&Zenpact in campus drives.
- In addition to that, some of our students are selected in ICICI, HDFC, Finance(Manappuram) and Banking sectors.
Future Programmes of Department
- The Mathematics & Statistics department will organize Mathematics games and Quiz programmes the occasion of “NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY” on 28 February in every academic calendar.
- We organise the student seminars and Guest Lectures by University professors and eminent personalities on 29 june, every year on the account of “NATIONAL STATISTICS DAY” .
- The Department will organise various competitions like PPT’s , Poster Presentation, Exhibits and Quiz on the occasion of “NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY” on 22 December in every year.
Future Plans of Department
- The department need to establish “MATH-LAB” . It is a place where anybody can experiment and explore patterns and ideas.
- It is a place where one can find a collection of games, puzzles and other teaching and learning material.
- The “MATH-LAB” provides an opportunity for the students to discover Mathematics through doing.
Educational Tour
- Educational tour had a major educational element, but along with it exploring the nature environment and refreshment from hectic classroom training from competitive exams study.
- It is a place where one can find a collection of games, puzzles and other teaching and learning material.
- The aim behind conducting an educational tour was giving students the chance to build closer bonds with their classmates.
