ACTIVITES OF THE DEPARTMENT
- Regularly motivating the students to get good ranks in various entrance Examinations such as IIT JAM, CSIR UGC- NET , TS CPGET , BARC,TIFR and Central Universities.
- UG Students secured good ranks and completed Master’s course in Physics in IIT Mumbai – POWAI and NIT Warangaland Dhanbad during the last two academic years. It reflects the endeavor and effort of the department
- Many of the UG students completed Master’s course in state Universities of Telangana.
- Actively engaged to motivate the UG students in premier Institutions of our country such as IISC, TIFR and IITs to do the research in physics.
- We are very much intact with the electronics/ PG students to train
- In embedded systems – in advanced Microprocessors and Microcontrollers using compatible software i.e., Kiel and Multisim
- Students thoroughly trained in every academic year under the guidance of Mr. M. Narsimha Murthy
- Meritorious VaagdeviansWell- settled in the Society

STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS
- Our PG/UG students actively participated in the state level MEET VaagVismai , National Science Day and Science fair.
- In the last academic year one of our PG student Thatipelli Harika participated in Seminar presentation in LB College on the eve of National Science Day-2020 and awarded with second prize.
- Many of the students from UG/PG showed creative skills during the period of Vinayaka Navaratri Utsav by making Lord Ganesh on Chandrayaan EXHIBIT using waste materials.
Recently, two of our Alumni students joined as scientists in ONGC
Rajamahendravaram and BDL in Machlipatnam.
RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
- The scope of the research activity in the subject of physics (i.e., Experimental Techniques) is very less in our state . Though, we are pursuing continuously research activity with available sources.
- I published the research papers with the help of my guide Prof. A.S. Nageshwar Rao (Retired) from the department of Physics K.U.
- Attanuation coefficient of fatty acids in the Gamma ray energy range 130keV – 160keV ( Pramana - 2018)
DEPARTMENT INFRASTRUCTURE
- For UG/PG electronics equipment in the laboratory is modernized with the available components and simulation software .
- In the physics laboratory the new experiments for B.Sc physics (CBCS) prepared with our ideas and available components reducing expenditure on buying new equipment.
- Procurement of Teaching Aids like Computers, laptops and charts etc…

FUTURE PLANS
Internships/projects:
- We are planning to send The PG students of first year for the summer research program in BARC - Mumbai taking help from Prof. B. Venkat Ram Reddy Head Dept. of physics- K.U.
- Facilitating the projects to our UG/PG students in the Dept. of physics NIT Warangal with the help of Prof. Dinakar Head Dept. of physics NIT Warangal.
- Dr. D. Haranath Associate Professor of physics NIT Warangal given a consent to do collaborative research work, facilitate projects to the UG/PG students and also he has extensively support to impart the knowledge in Nano-Science and Technology to our students and faculty.
- Trying for internships and project works in TIFR, Osmaniya University Hyd. and Central University of Rajasthan.
Workshops, National Seminar and conference:
Our Department is very much anxiously waiting for the Financial Aid from the Management to conduct one National Seminar and workshop with the support of DST, CSIR & TSCHE during the academic year 2021- 2022
CONCLUSION:
- We are having lot of plans to excite and attract the students to gain the skills and knowledge in Physics and Electronics with the financial and infrastructural support from the Management.
