About the Department

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (Mathematics only) that build a strong foundation in Mathematics and Statistics. At the undergraduate level, courses focus on core subjects such as Algebra, Calculus, and Statistics while developing analytical and problem-solving abilities.

The curriculum is designed to enhance self-analysis, logical thinking, data analysis skills, pattern observation, and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions. Students are also introduced to applied topics and basic programming concepts that connect Mathematics with real-world applications.

The department prepares students for careers in diverse fields such as education, data analysis, finance, competitive examinations, and higher studies. Emphasis is placed on developing both theoretical understanding and practical application skills.
